Stereoplasm - Dreaming Kitten

Dreaming Kitten (soft bed sheets sweetened with honeysuckle, bergamot, ginger and himalayan fur) by Stereoplasm is a lovely sweet soft floral. true to its name, this one really evokes the cuteness and peacefulness of a sleeping cat, and is one of my go-to sleep scents.

i think it's great that the scent is relatively stable and doesn’t morph significantly after application, because i really like how it comes across. both in the bottle and on application, Dreaming Kitten is a soft, unassuming floral with touches of sweetness. the dominant aspect of the scent is its honeysuckle and a gentle fur/musk that emerges over the course of the wear. it's got some nice nuances going on too: the bergamot peeks in occasionally for some sprinklings of contrast though i don’t really get the ginger being very evident.

Dreaming Kitten in its perfume oil form actually wears quite close to the skin; it’s quite an unobtrusive scent that is comfortable as a subtle “my skin but better”. unlike what i would expect from an adorable kitten, this one doesn’t headbutt you annoyingly for olfactory attention.

on the issue of longevity, i had initially been mildly disappointed with my first tests because it had only lasted for just over an hour on skin, but after giving it a good half year of resting, i’m quite pleased to get at least 4 hours of wear now.

7.5/10 i wear this as a sleep scent most of the time. it’s so calming and soothing to drift off to sleep like a real dreaming kitten. meow.

this review is of a perfume that i had purchased at regular price with my own money. i wasn’t asked to review this as a condition of receipt and didn’t receive any incentives for writing this. i’m not affiliated with Stereoplasm and as always, all opinions remain my own.

Dreaming Kitten is not in the general catalogue for Stereoplasm but it may make a return with their Cabinet of Curiosity or may be available for purchase as an unlisted fragrance – just need to drop them a note in advance to check if they can make it for you.
