Poesie - Tiny Phantom

Tiny Phantom (innocent pink roses, marshmallow buttercream, pale white musk, antique mahogany) by Poesie is a soft scent which faithfully captures the ethereal beauty of a demure spectre.

in the bottle, i get a really well-blended scent where the lightness of the roses, marshmallow, buttercream and musk was grounded with a soft wood. the marshmallow and buttercream is not as forward as in most gourmands, and the rose remains the dominant star throughout. after about half an hour of wear, the buttercream and rose did fade away slightly but overall, the scent was relatively consistent and did not change too much.

wearing this makes me feel quietly feminine and elegant, not unlike an 18th-century lady ghost in a flowing gown, serenely drifting about an abandoned mansion and unnoticed by all except the discerning few who gasp quietly when they first see me, then stare open-mouthed as i pass through the nearest wall and vanish, with only the barest hint of rose and marshmallow left in the air to make them wonder whether it was real or if they had dreamt it all.

unfortunately it's very hard to find the perfect scent on all aspects and this has an exceedingly low throw and a longevity as fleeting as its namesake for me, even after a year or so of rest. on my skin, i need to get all up close and personal with my nose literally almost touching my wrist before i even have the chance to remember that why yes, i am wearing perfume today. the longevity was also as fleeting as its namesake, lasting only about an hour on my skin and a couple of hours in my hair.

overall, i found this one to be a versatile perfume, equally good as a sleep scent, casual outing scent, or even a date night scent. i love wearing this whenever i want to feel quietly elegant and mysterious, though slathering and re-applying it up to 5 times a day just to continue feeling hauntingly beautiful does exact a tremendous toll on the fill level in my bottle.

it's a pity that if not for throw and longevity, Tiny Phantom would have been solidly in my go-to rotation; but it's definitely still one that i reach for often enough now, and as the first ever perfume i've tried from Poesie, it's made me excited to try out more scents from their beautiful catalogue.

7/10 Tiny Phantom gives a nice scent experience that i enjoyed (for the brief time it lasted) although i think my current 5ml will be sufficient and i would rather try some of their other scents instead of get a replacement after it's gone.
