still in line with the lunar new year theme, i decided to bring out my other set of red wax melts from Galatea Cosmetics, this time in Here There Be Dragons (What is there when we fall off the edge of the map? What adventure awaits? Cucumber, cantaloupe, sea air, lemon, lily, green leaves, white tea) from their Fantasy Destinations collection.
as with the rest of Galatea Cosmetics' offerings, these both look and smell amazing, and have a subtle but discernible throw even in solid form. when i opened the little plastic container for the first time, i was surprised at how sweet and refreshing the scent was, like a welcome glass of cold cucumber-and-fruit-infused soda on a hot and humid day.
Here There Be Dragons marries the cool freshness of cucumber and a sea breeze with a perky zing from the combination of cantaloupe and lemon. the tea leaves provide a nice contrast to ground and bring out the freshness, and the overall scent works well with the soft florals from the lily bringing it all together.
this lasted for around seven hours with a good throw to fill my room with a peaceful scent experience, a calming blend that i could see myself reaching for to destress after a difficult day at work or to kickstart a nice relaxing afternoon on a long weekend.
just like with the rest of Galatea Cosmetics' wax melts that i've had the pleasure of trying so far, it's yet another winner for me and i'm keeping a solid cube of this one in the linen drawer for that sweet refreshing experience. 8/10.
