with falloween (a portmanteau of fall and halloween) right around the corner, i've decided to dedicate the entire halloween month to everything sinister and spooky... and this weekend, i'm just 'feline' it!
since it's caturday (another portmanteau of cat and Saturday), i decided to bring out my wax melts in «Scare-tea Cat» from Luminous Star Perfumes, a wonderfully calming tea fragrance that will soothe even the most scaredy of kitties.
in my melter, this is a comforting combination of sweet vanilla, realistic chai, earthy tea leaves and a kiss of cinnamon.
«Scare-tea Cat» is the smell of calmness, of tranquility, of quiet repose and just living in the moment; it redefines rest as not just an action that we do, but a state of being, unaffected by the bustle and worries of the world outside.
i love this most as a relaxing scent; since it’s dangerous to leave an open flame while sleeping, i sometimes melt part of a bunny in the evening before bedtime, and then blow out the candle so that i can fall asleep enveloped in layers of comforting sweet cinnamon-vanilla chai.
one of my favourites from the brand (and not just because of the name), «Scare-tea Cat» is a really lovely gourmand that brings quiet enjoyment with every melt.
and with such a poignant and emotional description too, it's hard not to start 'feline' the awws with this one.
