Stereoplasm - Black Friday 2020 Haul

orders from Canadian indie perfumery Stereoplasm are always a joy to receive and unbox, and my black friday 2020 package was no exception.

in addition to the sachet of pumpkin spice tea and maple candies in the box, i had a really fun time digging for all the buried scented treasures in the densely-packed crinkle shredded paper (check out my video of the unboxing on my Instagram!)

as always, their packaging is spot-on with the use of coloured crepe paper to wrap each individual bottle, and this time i was treated to something i hadn't had in a while - long christmas-cracker-like tubes containing adorable little sample bottles standing on each others' heads, just waiting for me to release them by snapping the paper in the middle.

i have a particular weakness for all things feline, so i couldn't help but order 4.5mls of all nine scents in their new The Cats Are Out Of The Bag! collection:

• Orchard Cat (A basket of Braeburn apples, sea-salted caramel, crushed cloves and a cinnamon stick in hot mulled cider.)

• Stretchy Cat (Soothing green tea garnished with fresh lemon, mint and tangerine peel served with a big bowl of bergamot-zest sorbet.)

• Ballroom Cat (Hot pink organza, two glasses of french 75, fuchsia, stiletto squeezed grapefruit while safely tucked away in designer leather.)

• Yelling Cat (Squashed petunia petals, deep amber eyes, furry paws deeply dug into warm dirt and a long, satisfying howl at the midday sun.)

• Boho Cat (Book-pressed roses, freshly picked rosemary, dusty charcoal, linseed twine and soft jasmine incense.)

• Crunchy Cat (Crisp mountain air, douglas fir needles, chewed catberry branches and clumsy pinecones chased around the thick forest floor.)

• Munchie Cat (Freshly baked pot cookies with baked kettle chips, raspberry pie filling and a tall glass of chocolate milk.)

• Snoozy Cat (Soft cotton candy purrs of sweet baby's breath, french lavender, dreamy garden thyme and a hint of chamomile.)

• Soft Cat (Sunday morning biscuits, sticky marshmallow fluff, warm vanilla toe beans and soft mews under piles of sun-dried cashmere)

i always relish the experience of trying a sample that i love so much that i need to full-size it, and this black friday sale was the perfect time for me to upsize The Secret of Time and Heaven collection which had been a great hit for me when i first tried the samples which were included in an earlier order. i purchased 4.5ml of The Star Leaf and 7.5mls of Enjoy Your Waffles and The Great Owl (previous review with scent notes and my impressions can be found here).

i was particularly touched that Kacey from Stereoplasm had thoughtfully included some little extras for me in this package:

• 1.8ml of Wolfe Island (Intoxicating vanilla bourbon rolled over deep green moss and crumbling wet earth. Edges of smoldering birch, sticky calyxes and book-pressed tobacco leaves.)

• 1.8ml of Melancholy Moose (Endless black spruce, aspen bark, pine cones, blackberry, oak moss and wet leaves.)

• 4.5ml bottles of the other cat scents Dreaming Kitten and Scaredy Cats (previous review with scent notes and my impressions can be found here). together with the kitty prints on the scent notes in the package, this truly was an epic scent package of cat-aclysmic proportions.

• 1.8ml of La Mia Magia (My Magic!) (Velvet carpet, melting beeswax candles, dusty vials of dragon's blood, gilded rosewood wooden mask, labdanum, crackling electricity, well-worn playing cards.)

• 1.8ml of La Tazza (the ceramic cup cappuccino comes in) (Flaky croissant, iced marocchino dusted with cocoa powder, antique porcelain and rich agarwood.)

• 1.8ml of Cachi e Frizzante (Lemon & Prosecco)  (A sparkling flute of prosecco, lemon soda, a slice of white ginger, orange-ricotta cookies and blackcurrant cordial.)
